Why do people come to a healing practitioner and what happens?
Most people enter into a healing relationship for the purpose of relief from some sort of suffering be it anguish, anger, confusion or feelings of emptiness. On the psychological level, as deep healing happens suffering, dysfunctional limits and restrictions are diminished. This results in a more essential and authentic interiority, a more grounded presence, and expanded ability to engage, manage and enjoy life’s realities.
For many, the healing of psychological wounds invites ongoing or simultaneous exploration and integration of one’s innate spiritual issues and concerns. The holistic approach to healing of IKH, although based in the teachings and understanding of Jewish mystics and sages, is non-denominational. It is a healing modality of benefit to people identified with traditional faiths, alternative spiritualities or those agnostically inclined. IKH’s transformative approach makes possible deepened relationships, holistic integration and sacred understanding. A few of the qualities people often cite as a consequence of the changes that take place are increased strength, clarity, joy, passion, compassion and creativity .
What happens in a session?
A typical healing session takes about an hour and is mostly spent talking in an easy going, spontaneous and yet focused and professionally therapeutic manner. This can occur in a face-to-face meeting or over the telephone. The dialogue allows the partners in the healing relationship to deepen to a true understanding of the circumstance presented by the client. At session’s end, as a result of the Kabbalistic healer listening from a deep state of consciousness and using a precise diagnostic process, a specific healing from the IKH paradigm will be chosen that will address concerns.
What is the healing like?
The healing itself is done in silence. In the office, the client may either sit in their chair or lie down on a comfortable massage type table (fully clothed) with the healer seated or standing next to them. If the session is on the telephone, the client chooses a comfortable setting where she or he will be undisturbed. The client or “healee” does not have to do anything but relax. The healing itself can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. Some people experience a mild sensation, others not. Some feel an internal shift of mood, feeling or attitude; some simply feel relaxed but unchanged at the moment. Sometimes effects are felt immediately, sometimes at later date. There is a brief check in after the healing is complete.
